I just stumbled across the
Belz Museum of Asian art and Judaica here in Memphis. So enjoyable I intend to return and linger at least once again before leaving town. I was not a particular fan of Qing dynasty art before today, but the Belz has many fine pieces, as well as much older material. There is little Japanese art, but a small number of quite admirable Korean paintings. Most of the Judaica is modern, but very nice ideed. Two helpful displays describe the differences between jade and nephrite, and their geographical distribution. So far, the highlight of my visit to the Blues Capitol.
